Mendoza, Mendoza (and more Mendoza)

I have had a really great time in Mendoza. It is a beautiful city in the heart of Argentine wine country. Although I stayed longer than I intended, I have managed to keep busy by going on tours of vinyards, the mountains, and the city itself (see pics). Leaving was a bit of a challenge sinceI could not get to Santiago because the road was snowed in. I went to the bus station to get a last-minute ticket to Salta. After scrambling from one company to another and finding them all completly booked, I decided it was time to hatch a backup plan. I decided to get a seat on a bus to Cordoba (no small feat in itself) since it was sort of in the right direction of Salta. After getting a seat to Cordoba I decided to see about a seat from Cordoba to Salta. Good thing I did because I got the last one. Off to Cordoba.
